Spatial Awareness
In his paper on ‘projective mapping’ at the Mapping, Memory and the City conference 2010, Marc Boumier quoted Lev Manovich in saying that:
“Moving image is no longer just a subset of audio-visual culture, the digital moving image becomes a part of audio-visual-spatial culture.”
Film traditionally defines a space of action but is often presented flat. I am wondering how to think bigger than a single screen 2d presentation and somehow use this as an opportunity to figure out a spatial element to the re-presentation of the archive
